ale review: native storm, celt experience
Much as I love Brains, it is great to see a few more beer wizards come out of my homeland. Based out of Caerphilly, Celt Experience have what it takes to put Wales firmly on the craft beer map.
This one was smooth and refreshing, with a sweet honey aftertaste and easy-drinking quality. This really was unlike any ale I’ve had before and I’m struggling to identify the flavour running through it. I want to say burnt orange, but that could just be the intense smokiness beautifully counter balancing the rich sweetness and playing tricks on my palate.
Either way, I was left wanting more, and I hope a few more brews by these guys make it to London this winter.
