bar review: zerodegrees

Well, where else can you have dinner overlooking mash tuns?

This place makes a lovely stop off after a walk through Greenwich park to Blackheath. Zerodegrees has a great range of brews; the pilsner is the perfect refreshing choice for after a long walk, and the pale ale is satisfyingly rich.

The pizzas are amazing – in fact I think the menu could be improved by ditching everything aside from the pizzas.  Reinventing the beer and pizza combo is the real selling point here.

Given that these guys also have bars in Bristol, Reading and Cardiff, I’d argue that this brewery ain’t so micro anymore. But while I don’t normally review ‘chains’, this place deserves a mention for making brewing such a big part of the proposition.
