wine review: Les Dauphins

Well I haven’t reviewed a Rhone for a while, but old habits die hard.

An oaky nose, a sweet and rich palate and a bitter and tangy aftertaste, this is certainly strong enough to stand up to a blue cheese supper. Ok on its own, but I’ve had smoother, so don’t get this if you’ve had a long day and can see yourself drinking a large glass while cooking dinner (which happens my end, of course…)

I feel like should be in a cute French country house drinking this. And yet the label looks a little too colourful for this to be a wine from the past.
